Youths of Niger Delta region have declared that no amount of
terrorism by the Boko Haram would stop President Goodluck Jonathan’s
second term bid.
The youths made the statement yesterday, when they paid a courtesy visit on the Special Adviser on Youths to the Managing Director of Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Barr. George Turnah. The youths, who described the Islamist sect as a political creation to distract Jonathan’s presidency, warned the group against further violence, pointing out that no group had monopoly of violence.
President of Niger Delta Youth Movement (NDYM), Mr. Felix Ogbonna, in his speech, said that a second term for President Jonathan cannot (be) negotiated.
“Time has come for us in this region to tell Nigerians that we are not comfortable with all this distraction making him (Jonathan) not to concentrate.
