It was provided during the sitting at an Ogun State Chief Magistrate’s Court sitting in Owode Egba, Obafemi Owode Local Government Area, that the suspect used a machete because his wife had abandoned church programmes.
After realizing what he had done, Daniel rushed his injured wife to the hospital and reported the case to the police claiming, however, that she had been attacked by two unknown people.
Later Daniel was arrested on suspicion of being involved in the crime, however he pleaded not guilty.
The case was adjourned to May 26.
