Ikenna shared this message on his Facebook page and I couldn’t help but to share it with you. Read below in his word.
This is not a publicity stunt, this is not a promotional stunt, this is not a business stunt. This is a Real Life awakening!
I was celebrating my Sons 1st birthday on Saturday and playing with my two children on Sunday, not knowing that Sunday evening, i was going to be rushed to the hospital by Ambulance into A&E department.
I had to swallow my pride and dignity to post this picture of me on my hospital bed for the purpose of reaching out to everyone I love meaning YOU all! We always push our body to the limit but most of the time fail to listen to when our body is telling us it’s time to rest. I battled for my life from 8.30 pm last night to 3.15 am this morning (I am glad my Children didn’t see any of that). This was an awakening, a rough but true awakening for me and I feel my friends, family, business associates and all the supportive and lovely people that support out craft in one way or the other need to learn from it. Our body controls us but when we start getting complacent by controlling our body it takes it’s toll without us realising. So when you are tired rest, when you are sleepy, sleep, when you are exhausted, give yourself reasonable rest your body demands! I really didn’t think I would be writing this after a celebration. It shows that life is not promised, one minute you are happy the next minute you are sad. For the youths who send me messages about not being able to understand life’s ups and downs, well here is your answer. Love people around you, because you don’t know when it will be your last on earth. You don’t want to be quarrelling with someone and then find out they are no more. We have to heal the wounds we create, apologies to those we offend, make peace with those who we are aware we have offended an even if you haven’t offended anyone, reach out to them for peace
I am using this podium to apologise to anyone I have offended either through my words, comments, write ups. One thing I need to clarify is we are in the entertainment business and there will always be competition, in some cases propaganda, hyping up, because all this makes it entertaining, catchy, mind blowing as long as it is healthy and not unhealthy competition. Everyone one wants to progress and be noticed or recognised in what they do and in their profession and I am only human, like everyone out there.
All I can say is heal the wounds we know exist, make peace with everyone, live, love, laugh, be happy, because our body decides our destiny and God decides when our time is up.
God bless EVERYONE. Thank you to my other half Natasha for taking care of me, being my strength and being ever soo supportive.
I also thank God for giving me another chance
